Hampton Inn & Suites Richmond/Virginia Center

I arrived after 10pm to this hotel with some clients. We were able to get parked and used a cart to get items to their room. Brianna was the person we dealt with on arrival. She was courteous and smiled while assisting us. Once I got my clients settled into their room, I went to my room. It was a handicap accessible room, which was large. The tv remote control did not work so I called the front desk. Brianna came up and gave me a new one, which worked fine. The hotel was isolated and away from the interstate, so I did not hear much street noise. The bed was decent but not the best. I like a firm mattress, but most hotels don't seem to have them. Most are soft and have the sinking feeling. Not good for folks with bad backs.

I am from New Jersey and our flight was canceled due to shutdown. We stayed at a courtyard Marriott first night driving home. It was ok and overpriced. Then we stayed at your hotel Hampton Inn and Suited in Glen Allen, By far the best experience ever. Walk in and the friendliest guy Willie so accommodating and offered me a water. It makes a difference when you can tell they care. Along with Willie there was an amazing young lady her name was Breanna J. Couldn’t ask for better staff. When we walked in the entire hotel smells amazing. Not one negative the entire place was so clean. Bed comfy and shower hot with water pressure. Many awesome details I turn the TV on and the scream reads welcome Deborah. This place will be my hotel in the future. ******

Overall was a great stay- the only con was one of the beds and the pillows. One of the beds squeaked pretty loud with minimal movement and the pillows were all flat. None of this hindered our stay though. The room and facilities were clean. Appreciated the fan sound running on the AC all night as I am a light sleeper who needs white noise. Asia that works at the front desk was extremely nice with amazing customer service skills. Great location near stores and restaurants. Would stay again

Great place to stay. It was very clean and the breakfast was great. Friendly and courteous staff as well. They were very helpful and fast when we got there in the early morning hours. It was also very convenient when traveling. It’s right off rt 95 in a safe well lit area.

I want to give a shout out to Willy and his excellent customer service. This was an issue with our booking before Capital One and the hotel that led to an actual reservation to not exist in the hotel system, but still existed in Capital One's system. While that part still needs fixed, when I returned the following morning before leaving to get some further clarity and a printout confirmation of the information the hotel received, Willy was excellent and demonstrated genuine care to help explain the hotel's information, as well as support my information request. The experience the night prior during check-in was not the same level of care and concern as my family of 5 stood there waiting to get to a solution that evening when we needed a room (which turned into two). Again, life happens, but Willy showed up with a smile and care when it mattered. As for the rest of the hotel experience, it was good. The rooms were clean and functional and the breakfast options had more than enough selection.

Stayed for 4 nights to attend auto races nearby. Hotel is well-maintained for the most part. Some details were lacking such our bathroom door squeaked loudly whenever it was moved and the shower doors would not stay shut. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay. There was one yogurt flavor offered each day in a bowl to serve yourself which I found unappealing for some reason. The flavor was mislabeled the first two mornings (strawberry instead of strawberry-banana). Coffee was good. Breakfast area was clean. Hotel is located near many restaurants and shops. It is located off the highway in a quiet spot. Ideal location abour 15 to 20 minutes from downtown Richmond. I would stay here again next time I visit the area.
